Sylvain Distin wants a new deal at Everton.
The Daily Mail says Distin is holding out for a two-year deal from Everton as talks continue over extending the defender's stay at Goodison Park.
Distin, 33, is in the final 12 months of the contract he signed when arriving from Portsmouth in August 2009 but has so far only been offered a one-year extension.
The Frenchman has not given any indication he wants to leave but is waiting to see if Everton's board return with better terms.
