Everton defender Sylvain Distin admits there's growing confidence inside the squad of a top four finish.
Everton won at Manchester United for the first time in 21 years this week.
"We do start to believe it's possible to finish in the top four now," he said. "But honestly, I don't think we've ever started a season since I've been here where we have thought it is OK to finish fifth, sixth or seventh.
"We have always believed it's possible, but now, I think mathematically we are starting to believe it's more possible.
"But we need to get through December and January to really start to think about it, because they are tough months."
