Disappointed Palace boss Freedman oversees opening day defeat

Crystal Palace went down 2-1 to newly promoted Peterborough in the Championship after the Eagles had taken the lead. Dougie Freedman said: "The performance from us was decent up until the 65th minute, we were very comfortable after taking the lead but then Peterborough increased their tempo and moved the ball a little bit quicker than they had been doing which we couldn't cope with.

"This was disappointing from our point of view. In the last 25 minutes our decision making and defending let us down."
