Sunderland caretaker boss Ricky Sbragia has revealed El-Hadji Diouf could be set to leave the Stadium of Light in the January transfer window. New Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has been linked with a possible move for the Senegal international, who he knows well from his time at Bolton.

Sbragia said: "If he is wanted by Big Sam at Blackburn, or if he wants to go, there's not much I can do about it.

"But if that was the case, we would sit down and look at it and see if it was right for us and see if the fee was acceptable."
