El Hadji Diouf says he should have joined Manchester United instead of Liverpool.

The Senegalese listed joining the Reds in 2002 as his biggest career regret. And the former striker says he had the chance to join Liverpool's fierce rivals.

Asked by RMC Sport on his biggest regret, Diouf said: "I would say Liverpool.

"Because if I had the chance again I would go to Manchester United or Barcelona. At the time they wanted me also."
