Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf is backing their bid for Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic.

Krkic was in England on the weekend for talks with Stoke boss Mark Hughes.

Diouf told The Sentinel: "He is a very good player. It would be great because we need as many players as we can.

"The season is long and anything can happen, so we need more players if we can.

"If we can get him in and helping us, it would be more than welcome."
