Papa Bouba Diop is convinced new Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch will transform their game this season.

Diop said: "After being the FA Cup winners and having a great season last year, we are expecting a super season this time. The team is stronger and we've had new players coming in.

"One of those new faces is Peter Crouch. Crouch is a great player and I believe he is going to bring more energy to the team. With him up front I think we will score many goals this season.

"I believe our team is now strong in all areas, and we have a great team spirit."
