The Daily Mail says Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham are set to start a bidding war for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Luka Modric, 22, after club vice-president Zdravko Mamic flew to London last night.
The Croatia international, who impressed against England in the Euro 2008 qualifiers, is valued at £18m.
