Dinamo Zagreb president Mirko Barisic has laughed off talk of selling three star players to Manchester United. Barisic was asked about talk of United making a £30 million move for Alen Halilovic, Sime Vrsaljko and Mateo Kovacic after a visit by chief executive David Gill last week.

"Yes, I heard that in addition to the three, Alex Ferguson wants to buy me!" laughed Barisic.

He told Jutarnji List: "I think I've said it all. There are offers for our players, but this story is completely fictional. After all, I've already told you that we do not intend to sell Kovacic and Halilovic.
