Manchester United have joined the race for Dinamo Zagreb star Luka Modric.
Dinamo vice-president Zvrako Mamic has told El Mundo Deportivo that United have made contact about the Croatia international, along with Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and German pair Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich.
Chelsea are regarded as favourites for Modric and are willing to pay £16 million for the midfield schemer.
