Dikgacoi's agent seeks clarification from Fulham over contract extension

Kagisho Dikgacoi joined Fulham in 2009 and has made just 16 appearances during his time at Craven Cottage. The South African had therefore been looking for a move away but the Cottagers have surprisingly opted to extend the midfielders contract.

The player's representative Mike Makaab is baffled why the 26 year old has been tied down to an additional year.

"I have been notified that they have exercised the option on the contract to extend it for a year, but I'm completely bewildered by the news to be honest," said Makaab in the Ealing Gazette.

"KG was not even on the bench for the FA Cup match against Peterborough at the weekend, so for the manager to say he is still in their plans is very surprising, especially because they have just signed another player in his position in Steve Sidwell.

"I'll be discussing the whole matter with the player and the club, but I don't want to comment any further at this stage."
