Eric Dier has dismissed suggestions that Tottenham's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea could have an impact on the Premier League title race.
Asked about the impact of the FA Cup loss on the league, where Chelsea lead Spurs by four points, Dier told Sky Sports: "It's kind of irrelevant. It's a completely different competition, a different set-up as it's a knockout competition, and on the day they won and that's football.
"But it won't affect our momentum in the Premier League and won't be in our minds on Wednesday.
"Everyone is very disappointed and it's never nice to lose, especially an FA Cup semi-final, but there is no point dwelling on it. We have to look forward to a very important game.
"If we want to do something special we need to have the attitude and belief that we can win every game. We have had a fantastic run recently and we want to keep that going.
"We are very disappointed with Saturday but as a performance I don't think it was bad. We were good for most of the game and the result doesn't reflect the way we played. There are positives and we can keep moving forward."
