Inter Milan striker Diego Milito was pleased to be on the scoresheet in their Champions League win over Lille.

Walter Samuel and Milito secured the 2-1 result, though El Principe missed an open goal and hit the bar.

"I really, honestly hope this bad period has passed with this goal and that I have broken through," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"Unfortunately sometimes strikers do go through these moments. I've also been unlucky, hitting the bar in the first couple of minutes.

"You have to learn how to stay calm, not lose your head and don't let the anxiety get to you, as it can play nasty tricks. I always tried to give my absolute best.

"After Saturday's defeat to Juventus, we really needed this win and above all the three points that allow us to be pretty safe in the Champions League."
