Diego is full of pride over the way he has kicked off his career with Juventus.
"The truth is that I didn't have a clue things were going to be like this, all the hype around me," he told Spanish magazine Don Balon.
"I have to admit this is really exciting but now I have to pay them back on the pitch. I hope that with good football and goals the fans will be satisfied.
"Being part of this club is an honour and a dream come true. I am proud of this and I hope we will do great things. Our squad is quality and I am optimistic.
"There is no doubt that with Felipe Melo and I this team has improved a lot but even without us the squad is really good. Felipe and I are players who combine fantasy with our winning mentality.
"Playing alongside Alex Del Piero is great. He is an excellent footballer and I am sure we will get on well together on the pitch.
"The club spent a lot this summer so it's understandable that they expect great things. Personally I am very ambitious and wouldn't settle just for the title and the Coppa Italia. I want to achieve great success here and I want to be important in the Champions League too."
