Liverpool are chasing Wolfsburg midfielder Diego.
The Sun says the Reds have stepped up their bid for Wolfsburg's Brazil international Diego.
Kop Director of Football Damien Comolli has run the rule over the attacking midfielder, 26.
His German side will now flog the ex-Juventus star for a cut-price £9million after he quit their pre-match camp on Saturday.
Diego, who is 'honoured' by Reds' interest, stormed out after being told he would only be a sub.
