Diego Costa believes he needs to leave Chelsea because manager Antonio Conte won't give him a "fair" chance.

Costa made the latest revelations after scoring in Spain's World Cup qualifying win over Macedonia.

He declared: "I have a contract with Chelsea, they have to know what to do with me and I have to wait and know the decision my club makes.

"Things do not work that way. The fight for the position has to be fair to stay and fight, but the fight is not fair and I have to go."

Costa continued: "If they sell me, I will look for the best choice. Atletico is among them, it would not mean not playing, I can join a team in Spain, Brazil or anywhere. But I have to play.

"Everybody knows that I have a lot of affection (for Atletico).

"Atletico is a club that I have a lot of affection, regardless of whether I go there or I will not, I'll continue to love them."
