West Ham's Boleyn Ground will be the setting for a Hollywood action movie, it has been announced, reports the London Evening Standard.
The Hammers will leave the iconic stadium at the end of the current season and, before the site is redeveloped, Signature Entertainment and The Fyzz Facility Production have secured the rights to shoot an 'action-packed thriller' movie there.
Billed as 'Die Hard inside a soccer stadium', the film, referred to a Final Score, sees a football stadium seized by a group of heavily armed criminals demanding ransom.
"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to film in this unique and legendary location," said producer Marc Goldberg.
"We are confident that this, along with an exciting director in Scott Mann and compelling character roles, will attract a cast that makes for a real event movie, punching far above its weight in terms of audience appeal."
