Dickov looking to extend Derby loan

Veteran striker Paul Dickov is open to remaining with Derby on loan when the current arrangement ends in January. The Leicester player has scored once in nine appearances since linking up with the Rams before the close of the summer transfer window.

"I'm loving it here," Dickov told the Derby Evening Telegraph.

"If somebody had told me when I started out that I would still be playing first-team football at 37, I would have snapped their hand off.

"I am playing and really enjoying it. I feel as fit as I have done in a long time.

"It's no secret I enjoy it here. I knew a lot of the lads already and I get on well with everybody.

"What happens in January is something other people are saying to me more than I am thinking about myself.

"I am probably halfway through my loan. I have just got to concentrate and get a run of games under my belt. I have started the last three and I need to get more games before I even start thinking about January.

"As long as I am playing and involved, everybody knows I will be giving my all."
