Veteran forward Danny Dichio is expected to retire this week as Toronto FC look set to bring in Julian de Guzman.

The former Queens Park Rangers, Sunderland, West Brom, Millwall and Preston ace has been with Toronto since April 2007 and announced he would retire at the end of the current MLS season.

But with the imminent arrival of Canada international de Guzman, Dichio's decision to end his time in the game may be made sooner than first expected.
