Olympique Marseille defender Souleymane Diawara will not take a backward step in action against Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. It was a Diawara tackle which put Ronaldo out of action for over two months with an ankle injury and they're set to square off again in the Champions League.
"If I have to tackle CR9, I will," Diawara told Marca.
"He knows my tackle wasn't malicious. Ronaldo is aware I didn't mean to hurt him.
"I do feel sorry for being the person to go down in history for injuring Ronaldo."
