Aimo Diana admits he quit Palermo for Torino this week due to the influence of coach Walter Novellino.

The winger said: "In my choice to come to Toro, Novellino certainly had a crucial influence. In fact, I'd say he was decisive. The Coach showed great confidence in me and that is the best thing a player can have.

"It was with Novellino that I started playing as an advanced winger, but if needs be I can play as a full-back again."

Meanwhile, Marco Pisano, who followed his Palermo teammate to Toro, added: "I joked with Aimo over the fact our changes of club often happen at the same time, almost as if we were following each other!

"Joking aside, the fact I am at such an important side as Torino along with my friend Aimo helps me too, as I am younger and can benefit from his experience.

"I am also meeting up with friends like Eugenio Corini, Hernan Dellafiore, Paolo Zanetti and others, so I'm truly happy about that. I am truly enthusiastic about the choice."
