Diame set to boost Wigan ahead of Chelsea clash

Wigan Athletic are set to benefit from the return of Mohamed Diame from a groin injury.

The Senegal international has been out of action since March 17 but is likely to be available for selection for the Latics' trip to Chelsea on Saturday, which has been welcomed by manager Roberto Martinez.

"Momo has trained really well this week, and I am working under the assumption he will be fully-fit for the last seven fixtures," Martinez told the Wigan Evening Post.

"He has responded very well to treatment, and we just need to make sure we tailor his programme to make sure he gets back to exactly the same level he was at earlier in the season."
