Alessandro Diamanti is ready to help Gianfranco Zola lift West Ham United away from the dropzone.
Hammers' England stars Robert Green and Matthew Upson plus midfielder Scott Parker could all leave East London in January, heaping yet more woe on Zola.
But striker Diamanti said: "We deserve more points and a better position in the table, especially because we are playing good football.
"At the moment we are a bit unlucky, every time our opponents have a chance they score.
"But I'm confident we will turn around soon because this team has got quality and potential to do well. Zola is a great man. It's surprising how humble he is considering all that he has achieved in his career.
"He gives me a lot of advice. English football is quite different from Italian football and he is helping me to understand quickly.
"It's more physical and quicker. On the pitch, you don't have so much time to think and the referees whistle much less than in Italy."
