Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby says they must show their steel against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

Diaby is urging the team to take the right blend of spirit and attacking flair into every game.

"We were very pleased because I think this game [at Sunderland] was a mixture of technicality, good passing and character," he told Arsenal Player. "We showed that when you join those elements in the game, it makes a big difference.

"It's really important to show our character to our opponents. As soon as they know that they will play against us, they know that we play well but we also have character, which is really important."
