Marco di Vaio is delighted with his new deal at Bologna.
The striker signed a two-year contract extension with the club this week, reiterating his status as their captain.
"I wanted to stay here, the club wanted to keep me, so it was easy to reach an agreement," said Di Vaio.
"I am extremely happy, as I am going to realise my dream of ending my career at the Stadio Dall'Ara.
"I must thank the club, who even in a difficult financial moment found the resources to sort out my contract.
"There is passion at Bologna, great history, respect for the individual and his privacy. I owe everything to this city, this club and this environment."
