Bologna veteran striker Marco Di Vaio has urged Gaston Ramirez to stay.
The Uruguay winger has been linked with a move away from Bologna this summer.
"I understand that he wants to play his football at a higher level," Rossoblu captain Di Vaio said.
"However, he has a lot of time ahead of him to test himself against the very best. Another year for him at Bologna would do him good.
"There was a public war of words between the player, his agent and the club which helped nobody, all it did was create tension.
"I just hope that Gaston can now talk to the club in order to clear up this matter."
