Montreal Impact defender Alessandro Nesta was not at all surprised when Marco Di Vaio scored a hat-trick on the weekend.
The former Juventus, Valencia and Bologna striker scored in the second, 28th and 32nd minutes of the Impact's 5-3 win over Philadelphia Union but his exploits were just normal to his old Lazio colleague Nesta.
"I know him for 20 years," Nesta told the Montreal Gazette. "I played with him when I was eight years old.
"A lot of three-goal games. It's normal to me."
The trio of goals took Di Vaio's tally to nine for the season and allowed the Canadian club to return to second place on the Eastern Conference table.
