Antonio di Natale has reaffirmed his total commitment to Udinese.
Di Natale was already a hero at the Stadio Friuli, but the native Neapolitan became even more popular after turning down a transfer to Juventus this summer.
The striker said: "My life is in Udine. There is a plan here for building a team with young players and I am happy that I stayed here, even if I received offers during the summer.
"Now that we have mathematically achieved safety, we must play every game for maximum points and then see where we end up.
"On a personal level, my next target is to match Vincenzo Montella's total of 144 goals. After all, I also netted 18 with Empoli, so it is possible."
However, consistent hitman Di Natale accepts he won't earn an Italy recall.
"No, that's gone now. Everyone thinks about the Nazionale, but it's clear Cesare Prandelli has other plans."
