Udinese striker Antonio di Natale admits he and coach Francesco Guidolin were ready to quit at the end of last season.
The Coach had declared after the final game of last season that he was too stressed to continue his career, while the striker hinted at retirement.
"Both Guidolin and I had wanted to quit at the end of last season, but we chose to stay and hope to give more great satisfying moments to this club," said Di Natale.
"I am 35 years old, so I cannot fear responsibility, but Udinese are not just Di Natale. Of course we hope to make the difference and win the game. That is our objective.
"We are facing a strong side and are here to do better than last year. We are close to a dream, have quality and want to make that dream come true."
