Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo admits his English players want Harry Redknapp to take the Three Lions job.
Tottenham manager Redknapp is favourite to succeed Fabio Capello in time to take charge of the national team for Euro 2012.
And Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo said: "Harry is a great manager who has been in the football industry for many years.
"He looks like he's going to be the new England manager and he deserves the chance.
"A lot of the England players here at Chelsea know him well and the general consensus is that all the players like him and would like to see him in charge."
