Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has suggested that Angel Di Maria will be fit to start in this weekend's clash with Chelsea.
The Argentine winger, who joined from Real Madrid for £59.7million in the summer, sustained a groin injury in Monday night's 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion which forced him off during the second half at The Hawthorns.
It was feared that Di Maria would miss Sunday's visit of the league-leading Blues but van Gaal confirmed at a pre-match press conference that the star signing had been training this week in the lead-up.
"It was not so heavy, he has trained. Only the first day [Tuesday] he doesn't train," he said.
Since arriving at Old Trafford, Di Maria has scored three goals and provided four assists in a glistening beginning to his career with the Red Devils.
