Angel Di Maria was delighted to be on the scoresheet in Real Madrid's 4-1 thrashing of Atletico Madrid.
The Argentine winger was impressive in the derby win.
He said: "We completely changed after scoring our first goal. We had to go for the game, and we did. The penalty arrived following an effort between Cristiano, Benzema and I. We are very motivated and looking forward to keeping up this good work. This is the path we must follow in order to achieve our goal to be champions.
"The manager wanted me as a starter and I'm happy for getting the chance to play. I luckily played and scored again tonight. This builds my confidence. It motivated me a lot to be given the chance to play after training alone for three or four days. It had been a long time since I last scored. I told my wife I would like to score right after my injury and I was lucky to do so."
