Former Roma wing-back Alberto Di Chiara can understand a deal for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez falling through.

Roma have failed with multiple offers this summer for the Algeria international and sports director Monchi has conceded they're now looking elsewhere.

Di Chiara is a fan of Mahrez, but knows it can be difficult doing business with cashed up English clubs.

He told TMW: "I think he may be the right name.

"But it is not easy for the Italian market: Roma has this missing piece (after selling Mohamed Salah to Liverpool)."
