Di Canio: West Ham haven't replaced Collins, Bellamy

West Ham United legend Paolo Di Canio is confident his old club will play their way out of the dropzone.

In Naples yesterday for a media presentation, Di Canio was asked about the city's hero, Gianfranco Zola, and his struggles at Upton Park.

Di Canio said: "It's been a growing situation, strongly altered by economic problems. For the forced sales of Bellamy and Collins, they were not adequately replaced by purchases of quality.

"But I hope that they will start winning again.

"I'm still tied up with English football, which I think is the absolute best from every point of view."
