Paolo di Canio has added to his backroom staff at Sunderland.

The Daily Star says Di Canio wants Inter Milan's Valentino Angeloni as his new chief scout.

Black Cats chairman Ellis Short recently axed former chief scout Pop Robson, with Angeloni now lined up as his replacement. Di Canio has also brought in Fabrizio Piccareta as assistant manager and goalkeeping coach Domenico Doardo.

The Italian also wants to bring in six or seven new players this summer.
