Gerard Deulofeu has ambitions to be a success at Barcelona, dealing a blow to Everton's hopes of agreeing a permanent transfer. The 20-year-old winger has impressed during a season-long loan at Goodison Park.
Deulofeu has, however, expressed a desire to make the grade at the Nou Camp and is now waiting on Barcelona to make a decision on his future.
He told RAC 1: "I would like to return to Barca and this is my first option.
"I feel very happy with the season I have had at Everton and have great respect for Barcelona. I also know I have to wait until the end of the season and then we will see what happens.
"Now I have had a year on loan at Everton I am waiting to be told something. Nobody has said anything to me."
