Roman Pavlyuchenko is still puzzled by a lack of regular first team football at Tottenham but is ready to commit his future to the North London outfit. The Russian scored 14 goals last term, making him the club's second-highest goalscorer, but was regularly overlooked throughout the campaign, with Rafael van der Vaart and Peter Crouch being Redknapp's first-choice pairing.
Contract talks that began earlier this season have so far failed to result in an extension beyond his current deal, but he says he sees his future with Spurs.
"There is a strong desire to pursue a career in Tottenham, with whom I have a contract," Pavlyuchenko told Sport Express.
"A new contract will be discussed after the holidays - my agent will travel to London to hold talks with the leaders of Tottenham."
