Brazilian legend Kaka has impressed Orlando City SC manager Adrian Heath with his work ethic and 'desire' in Tuesday's 2-0 US Open Cup win over Columbus Crew SC.
The former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder scored Orlando's opening goal in the contest, helping his side progress through to the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
Heath said that the effort of Kaka was exemplary of the entire Orlando performance.
"We have spoken about (the US Open Cup) from the very beginning when we sat down and set out our goals for the season, and I think Kaka's performance said it all," Heath said.
"I was going to take him off after 70 minutes, but he didn't want to come, and that shows the desire this team has."
Kaka has scored nine goals in all competitions since joining the Lions as their marquee player prior to the 2015 season.
