France manager Didier Deschamps has suggested to Arsene Wenger that he is indeed the only manager of the national team.
Deschamps selected Abou Diaby in his Les Bleus squad for an upcoming friendly with Japan and crucial World Cup qualifier against Spain despite the midfielder being ruled out by Arsenal for three weeks with a thigh injury.
Wenger blasted Deschamps for including Diaby in his squad but the France boss has hit back at the Gunners gaffer by saying he has the right to do so.
"I want to remind him that I am the only one to decide who will be picked and how long those who are picked will play. There is only one to decide and it's me," said a defiant Deschamps.
France meet Japan in Paris in a warm-up fixture on October 12 before they meet reigning World and European champions Spain in Madrid four days later.
