France coach Didier Deschamps has had his say on Manchester United's swoop for Monaco striker Anthony Martial.
United are signing Martial for a fee rising to €80 million.
"When he left Lyon, two years ago, everyone thought: 'How can Monaco pay €5 million for him?' Today, he is worth how much?
"When some presidents or coaches think a player has potential, he can play right away, and he represents a possible significant capital gain, they invest. Football generates lots of money and English clubs have colossal resources. From the moment they set the price, it becomes impossible to refuse such sums.
"Next, is he worth it really? That I do know."
Deschamps continued: "He is a player with great potential.
"Everything has accelerated very quickly for him since leaving Lyon. He goes to a great club, he will change from a little planet, to a galaxy. We'll continue to follow him.
"For him to continue to grow, he must have playing time."
