France coach Didier Deschamps says Manchester City fullback Benjamin Mendy remains in his plans.
Mendy is working his way back from serious knee injury and hopes to make France's World Cup squad.
Deschamps told SFR Sport: "He is in a good time, or a very good time. After, it is to get back in the rhythm, in the collective training, to play again in competition.
"But he does everything, I know he has the will. The World Cup? In absolute terms, yes. Today, I do not have the answer, either. He does everything to be in condition, taking into account what he has spent. There is no point in shortening too much. He must have recovered flexion, extension, have no longer apprehension."
