Derry City have postponed Sunday's friendly against Celtic as they were unhappy at the strength of the visiting team. The match at Brandywell had been arranged as part of winger Paddy McCourt's 2008 transfer from Derry to the Glasgow club.
Derry gave no explanation for the decision to postpone the match "until further notice".
Nobody from Celtic was available for comment.
A large section of Celtic's first-team squad are on international duty. Indeed, McCourt is himself with the Northern Ireland squad ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier away to Czech Republic.
BBC Radio Foyle understands that Derry officials wanted to avoid a repetition of a previous recent friendly against Celtic when the Glasgow club paraded a team of largely unknown players.
