Matt Derbyshire is happy at Blackburn Rovers, despite having to compete for a place with Roque Santa Cruz, Benni McCarthy and Jason Roberts.

"I think that makes you a better player," he said. "You can only learn off these players coming in and get better yourself.

"I'm 21 and throughout my career, there's going to be strikers coming in, strikers going out, and I think the best you can do is get your head down, do your hard work and leave the gaffer to make the decision."
