Derby's Savage wants revenge on Man Utd boss Ferguson

Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage wants revenge on Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson in the FA Cup.

Savage had been in United's hugely-talented 1992 FA Youth Cup-winning side along with the likes of David Beckham and Ryan Giggs.

But Fergie decided he was not going to be good enough to cut it and sent him to carve out his own top-flight career via Crewe.

"I was devastated. But I'll never forget when Sir Alex let me leave United he said that he feared one day I would come back to haunt him," said Savage.

"I'd love to think this is going to be that day. To beat them in the FA Cup would be very, very special even though we all know that if they play to their potential then they are likely to win it."
