Derby County defender Lewin Nyatanga has no regrets joining Barnsley on-loan.
"I am just happy to be getting first-team football and that would not have been the case if I had stopped at Derby, so I was more than willing to go back to Barnsley on loan," said Nyatanga.
"I was working with Derby all summer and looking forward to having a crack at the Premier League. So obviously I was disappointed to be loaned out, but I don't see it as rejection, more a learning curve.
"As a young player if that is something I have to do, then so be it. I'll make sure I learn and improve.
"Maybe they do need defenders, it has not been going too well at the moment. But I know they will stick together and get better, they will be okay."
