Derby County defender Michael Johnson wants to sign permanently with Notts County.
"If the deal is right for me, and I have indicated I would like to participate in a coaching role as well because I'd like to stay in the game, I would be happy to stay at Notts. I'll probably sit down and talk to them later this week and hopefully we can agree to something. I've always wanted to come back and finish my career with Notts. They were very good to me at a very young age.
"They took me as a schoolboy and gave me the chance to be a professional footballer. I'm forever grateful for that and I've always said I would like to come back and help the youngsters out.
"It would be nice to tie things up if the offer is right."
