Derby's Fagan wants Bruce revenge

Derby County midfielder Craig Fagan wants revenge over Steve Bruce today for cutting him loose from hometown club Birmingham City.

Fagan confessed: "Being a Birmingham supporter I looked for this fixture when the list came out.

"And if I score, I think I'll be able to get away with celebrating in front of 33,000 Derby fans!

"I'm a Bluenose and it was a sad moment when they let me go as I had played a few games for the club including 12 minutes in the Premiership.

"Andy Johnson has come back to haunt Brucie to some extent and hopefully I can do it too.

"When I was at Birmingham pushing for a place they had just got promoted and Steve wanted to use experienced players.

"If I was the manager, I might have done the same thing but as a young lad you are dying to get in that team."

Bruce admitted: "I wanted Craig to leave and prove me wrong but I hope he doesn't do it against us.

"To be fair to Craig, he went and dropped down a division and kicked on and did particularly well and I've been watching his career with interest."
