Derby County winger Giles Barnes admits he hasn't produced his best so far this season.
"I still feel like I'm a few gears away from top form," he told the Derby Evening Telegraph. "I'm training well but training is different from playing.
"Sometimes, I feel top of the world in training but, come Saturday, you need a different kind of pace and fitness.
"All the new staff and the new gaffer have been working with me and we can see a progression coming on because I've gone from not being able to walk properly for a few months, to starting to run at pace again.
"It's been hard but everyone here, including the players, have been a fantastic help. I want to thank them for that."
