Derby want to sign outright Blackburn keeper Fielding

Derby County boss Nigel Clough hopes to sign permanently Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Frank Fielding.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper will return to Ewood Park after the Rams' next three matches having only signed on a 93-day emergency loan deal, but Clough is bidding to bring him back to Pride Park for good.

He said: "We knew at the time Frank could not complete the season, but it was important to get him in for these games obviously with a view to trying to secure a deal in the summer on a permanent basis.

"Frank is a good young goalkeeper, the England Under-21 keeper, and we think he fits into everything we are trying to do."
