Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage says he has one regret during his career.

Savage has announced plans to retire when his contract ends in 2011.

And he says his only footballing regret was not joining Everton when he was at Birmingham.

"When I signed for Blackburn, Everton came in with a similar bid," Savage admitted.

"But it was just the fact that Mark Hughes, who was my idol growing up as a kid, was manager at Blackburn."
